do u regret anything from the past?

I never regret anything. If I've made any mistakes, I've learned from them, so I don't repeat them and if I do something right, I take notes! =)

How long have you been a Dj?
I’ve been djin’ for a while now. I started messing around with the tables around 12 years old. That’s when I first touched the turntables and a mixer.

What’s your style of Djin’?
I consider myself a blending club dj since I don’t really scratch. I’m not comfortable doing all that crazy stuff you see some dj’s doin’ (Turntablizm). I can keep the crowd moving! There’s a time and place for all that scratchin’ and stuntin’. Clubs and some events normally aren’t the place for that. That stuff is for show-off/talent/battle events, but it’s dope to see dj’s doin that. I got to admit I would love to do all that. For now making the crowd dance all night is good enough for me. But eventually I will be cuttin’ it up with the best of them, hopefully…ha ha!

What kind of music do you currently spin?
I currently spin Hip-Hop, RnB, Top 40, Dance & Electro. But I spin everything and anything if it’s mixable.

What styles of music have you played?
I’ve played everything you could think of. I’ve surprised many people with the types of music I know of and can spin. I usually get… “You’re young…What do you know about this kind of music?” My reply would be… “I love music and I was dancing to this music in my mom’s belly…and when I was born I was dancing to it in my crib!” lol

Do you prefer Vinyl /CD/Serato (Analog/Digital)?
I prefer Vinyl over CD any day because I grew up with mixing vinyl & the tradition of djin’. I’m most comfortable with vinyl…but now a days it’s amazing what these new CD players and software programs are capable of doing. Technology is freakin’ amazing! You can do some amazing things with these new CD players and Serato…Serato is a mobile dj’s dream & at the same time a dj’s nightmare…lol! Now you can have your whole music collection at your finger tips! At first I used to deny Serato because of my love for vinyl…but once I tried it and realized how much money you can save and what the program is capable of doing…I say Serato all the way! You can do whatever you can imagine; it allows you to be more creative!

If you could Dj anywhere, where would it be?
I would love to dj around the world. I love to dj… so djing anywhere would be coo with me. As long as I can get some spin time I’m coo. I want to be heard, respected for what I do & get paid to do what I love.

If you could Dj for anyone, who would it be?
I would love to be a resident dj for any of the major city clubs (Cali/Vegas/Miami). I would also like to dj for a well known artist, band or group in the entertainment industry.

What are your current projects?
I’m working on soooo many right now. Just to list a few, I’m working with Lounge Media Pro, Clubben.com & ClubbenRadio.com.

What/Who inspired you to become a Dj?
The love for music I have and the passion to be a dj is what inspires me to be a dj. I love the fact that a good dj can control a small or massive crowd with music. That fascinates me! I love to see people dance because of what I am choosing to spin.

Who are your Mentors?
Mixmaster Tony G, Julio G, Dj Ralph M, M Walk, Melo D, Mike Motion, Dynamix, E-Man, Richard Vission, Mr. Choc, Vice, Echo, Rawn, C-Minus, Reflex, Ever, Fuze, Sourmilk, Steve Dub, Los, Poogie, Artie the 1 Man, Cut Chemist, Numark, Babu, Mix Master Mike, Xecutioners, Q-Bert, Kid Dragon, Source. I respect and look up to all djs who mix with passion & dj because that is who they are!

What type/brand of equipment did you start off with?
I started off with some cheap belt driven Gemini turntables and mixer with some pioneer house speakers and Sony receiver. Whoa… that was a long time ago! I don’t know what I’d do without my Technics 1200s.

What type/brand of equipment do you currently use?
Technics 1200 MK2’s, Pioneer 909 mixer, Ortofon needles, Serato. I eventually want to purchase the new Pioneer CDJ’s and a Bose or JBL sound system.

Is deejaying a hobby or profession?
Currently it’s a hobby but if time & money allows me to; I would love to turn it into a profession one day.

Where do you purchase your music?
I used to purchase all my music from World Records (Alhambra, CA). Thanks to Mike, Robert and Brian for always hookin’ it up with all the club bangers. I went to that place because they always had what I wanted and  needed. They had everything, sucks that they are closed down now, but times have changed. I also purchased my music from Music Revolution (Whittier, CA) back in the day from Raul Martinez, Tower Records, Exodus, Tuff Guy, Strictly Underground, Greedy Records, Norwalk Records and a few other places. I also used to be a member of Dj Vice & Dj Eddie One’s West Coast Record Pool. I was also party of Enrie’s My12Inch.com digital pool. I currently get my music direct from the artists/internet & all the awesome blogs (new age crate diggin’).

What are your most memorable experiences as a Dj?
All I can say is every gig or event I have been a part of has had its memorable moments/experiences. So it’s really hard to narrow them down.

What would you like the world or party people to know about you?
I’m a really cool, easy going, humble and a down to earth individual. I’m open to a lot of ideas and love to mix. So if ya ever see me on the streets, at parties, online or in the clubs don’t be afraid to say what’s up. If you have any questions about anything please hit me up.

What is your charging rate?
It all depends on the gig, location, time and so on. Feel free to hit me up, I’m flexible/reasonable and will work with your budget.

What are your goals as a Dj?
I would like to become a well known dj in the entertainment industry, as well as respected by everyone I know and work with.
